Black Braided Silk

The raw material for the manufacture of silk is the a spun by the domesticated species of the silkworm Bombix mori of the Bombycidae family. The silk is impregnated with a physiologically harmless silicone solution, resulting in a non-capillary, water-repellent thread with a smooth surface that facilitates handling and knotting. The thread is pigmented black with harmless dyes
