Hemogelita is a lyophilized, absorbable, and sterile collagen implant with hemostatic effect. The process to obtain Hemogelita includes purification phases that end with lyophilization. This enables to maintain the product’s fibrous structure, ensuring that the best conditions are provided during the implantation and integration.

Research has shown the benefits of collagen for its stimulating healing effect and filling of deep wounds where substance was lost. Given its hydrophilic properties, collagen is placed over the wound bed to stimulate the formation of new granulation tissue.

Hemogelita is indicated to control bleeding in surgical procedures from different specialties. It can also be used in skin ulcers, deep skin defects, protection of exposed and difficult healing areas, capillary bleeding.

Precautions

The units should be removed from the primary package with sterile clamps and scissors. Sterility is not guaranteed if the package integrity is not preserved.
